PawTrainer Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PawTrainer ("the App"), you ("User") agree to this Privacy Policy in full. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the App. Use of the App constitutes your acceptance of all risks associated with dog training activities.

2. No Professional Advice — User Assumes All Risk

THE APP PROVIDES GENERAL INFORMATION AND AI-GENERATED CONTENT FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY, BEHAVIORAL, OR MEDICAL ADVICE.

The User is solely responsible for:

• All training decisions and their outcomes
• Any injury to the dog, User, third parties, or property
• Verifying that training methods are appropriate for their specific dog
• Consulting a licensed veterinarian or certified dog trainer for medical or behavioral issues

PawTrainer, its developers, and affiliates accept no liability whatsoever for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of content generated by the App.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content is generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude API) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. The User acknowledges that AI responses are not guaranteed to be correct and uses them entirely at their own risk. PawTrainer makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or fitness of AI-generated content.

4. Data We Collect

We collect and store:

• Email address (for authentication)
• Dog profile data (name, breed, age, behavioral issues)
• Chat messages sent to the AI trainer
• Training progress and streak data

We do NOT collect: real name, payment card details, or precise location.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Anthropic — AI chat processing. Messages sent to the AI are processed by Anthropic and subject to their usage policies.
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing

By using the App, you consent to your data being processed by these services under their respective terms.

6. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on Supabase servers. While we implement reasonable security measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure. The User assumes the risk of unauthorized access to their data.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at: pawtrainer.privacy@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. By using the App, you confirm you are at least 13 years old.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PAWTRAINER AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. THE USER EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT USE OF THE APP AND ITS CONTENT IS AT THE USER'S SOLE RISK.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
